2013 FSCNY Meeting Schedule
All meetings will be held at the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott (except for the April 22nd meeting in Albany and the May 28th meeting at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott). Details about the 21st Annual Conference and Exposition will be available in late December.   

Each year, FSCNY member companies travel to Albany to meet with members of the New York State Legislature. The "Albany Blitz" is an opportunity for FSCNY to meet with lawmakers to inform them and discuss industry issues and initiatives. In addition to discussing the broad range of topics that affect our industry, this trip also gives association members the opportunity to network directly with key decision makers.

 The 2013 Albany Legislative Blitz will take place on Tuesday, April 23. The Blitz will include a day-long schedule of legislative meetings with some of New York’s most important members of the State Senate and Assembly. 

Each year, the Financial Service Centers of America (FiSCA), the national trade association representing financial service centers/check cashers, hosts an annual conference. The 2013 Conference and Exposition will take place October 4-6 at the Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort in Marco Island, Florida. For more information about the conference, please visit FiSCA’s website.

On December 1, 2011, Jason Carballo, President of FSCNY, testified in Albany on behalf of the Assocation. The Assembly Standing Committees on Insurance, Banks and Oversight, Analysis and Investigations held a public hearing at which the Department of Financial Services (DFS) presented an update on the merger of the Departments of Banking and Insurance. In addition to DFS, the committees also received testimony from other affected stakeholders.
