Scholarship Program

In the past 20 years, the Financial Service Centers of New York (FSCNY) trade association, assisted by MoneyGram International, has awarded over 300 high schools seniors with Young Leaders Scholarship awards. The scholarship program is unique in that it acknowledges students from all five New York boroughs, Long Island, Westchester and Rockland Counties, based upon their commitment to community service and leadership skills. Past recipients have attended Ivy League and other top-tier universities and colleges, and have excelled as doctors, lawyers, community activists, professionals in finance, government, education, non-profits, and other fields, as well as being entrepreneurs and small business owners.
In 2016, seven students from across New York City’s five boroughs and Westchester County, received over $40,000 in scholarship money and prizes, the highest annual amount ever granted by the FSCNY/MoneyGram Scholarship Program.
